Red face I have no Bike

    Hi Everyone:

    This is my first post,
I have been wanting to get a trail bike
to put on the back of my RV like the trail70 to take to the campground.
Where do I get one that will carry a 220 pound guy around?
can I get one with a 125cc engine?

I want to buy a good bike not the cheap ones that I keep hearing about but don't know what the good brand names or dealers are.

    Thanks
    Kevin

A nice restored '71 or '72 CT70H should do the trick for you. Keep your eyes out. They are out there once in awhile.

Wink While Looking for a "HONDA CT 70"

    Hi and welcome,

I have a 1972 CT 70 K1(The three speed auto). I bought this thing off a kid for $125.00 complete. If you have the money you can find a decent running one for between $800.- $2,500. I saw one with only 850 miles on it going for $2500 or offer on E-Bay. The problem with E-Bay is the aution inflates the price as opposed to just going to some one with a classified ad. Mine by the way was a basket case. The kid took it apart to sell the parts. So far I have about $2,000 in to the rebuild. It had sat in the weather for over 30 years. My engine is currently being restored by a Honda pro mechanic. The frame and all other parts have been media blasted and I'm going to paint it original Honda Candy Ruby Red. Oh one word of caution, don't buy a Chinese copy, you'll be sorry. They are out there for $1,200 new but you will regret it. They don't hold up like a real Honda and when you try to find parts it will be a nightmare. I have heard of two of the damn things that were built on the assembly line right next to each other where the parts were different sizes! And the welds fail. Recently at a trade show here in the States some Chinese manufacturers were served papers by Honda for copywrite and Intellectual piracy. The Chinese basically copied a popular Honda sold in Asia and built a crappy cheap one. Don't misunderstand me I'm not telling you how to spend your $$ but in the long run why do you think the little Honda mini trails are so popular 35 years later? Because Mr. Honda built a quality bike that runs for ever unlike the stinking communist Chinese!
