    cl70 resources

    Hello all,

I am about to take possession of a "new" (1972) CL70 and I have been shocked at how little info I have been able to find. I managed to find this site and was wondering if there is a similar resource for the CL.

    Thanks for your help,

    Chad

I'm with you... I am finding it very difficult with my "new" '69 CL70.

    That's a cool photo.

Do you know if the CL70 has the same engine as the CT70? I am trying to figure out how much of the info here is applicable.

FWIW, the internal gearing is the same for all of the CL70s, all of the CT70Hs, and all of the SL70s. In fact, these engines are all virtually identical, so the manual transmission CT riders will still be good resources for the CL crowd.

Thanks... The picture is from the CraigsList listing that I bought if from... I have yet to find a good CL resource site, the CT site are in abundance though. The CL's just weren't that popular - I guess.

I just received my Clymer's repair manual and all the Honda 70cc engines appear to be the same. I just bought another CL70 engine that I plan to rebuild, but I am seeking a total rebuild kit (top and bottom ends and carb), but I have yet to find such a beast.

Anyone here ever see a total rebuild kit?

    Thanks,
    Max
