    ITS, new wrinkle!

I know this topic has been beat to death, but here's a new wrinkle just discovered this week. This is my third bike to get titled through ITS, this one is a 1970 HKO. I sent in all the paperwork and fees (to include plates). Received new (Maine) plates and a registration disclosure from the state of Maine, no title. It just so happens that Maine is a "no title" state, meaning, the vehicle if older than 15 years doesn't need a title. So, for those of us titling any bikes over 15 years, make sure you indicate that you need a "letter of verification" from the DMV in Maine stating the fact that they do not require a title so that you may then take that to your local DMV and will most likely accept for title in your state.

Once again, I'm the guinea (sp) pig, so learn from me. FWIW

Thanks for the warning Jaime. After repeated phone calls, or messages left, they have yet to send me a package.

    Anyone tried BroadwayTitle?

    From their site:

"1983 & older: Due to changes by the Department of Motor Vehicles, all vehicles 1983 & older must have a current valid inspection sticker (does not apply to trailers). Please call for more information and pricing."

I used Broadway many years ago on 2 cars, I can't believe how much the price has gone up, I paid 75.00. Back then I had no problems. 10 years ago I bought my ct for 100.00 with a title, I knew I got a deal back then ,but wow

Evidently ITS is no longer going to work in Texas. To get an inspection sticker you have to show proof of liability insurance.

To get liability insurance you will need a title.

I am thinking seriously of starting a title business here...There seems to be a demand for it.
