Thats how it is in Missouri..You have to have your vehicle safety inspected every year or every 2 years if you pay extra in order to get tags. You don't have to show proof of insurance though for an inspection, just at the DMV. The sticker is the same as Texas. In Kansas, there are no vehicle safety inspections required at all and no emmisions testing...I wonder how many catalytic converters have been removed?
