Back from the powder coat part 2

Check out my K1 I just got back from the powder coater. I know, I know, it's not the same as getting it painted, but for the money it turned out absolutlely beautiful. All the steel parts came back perfect. Stuff that was made of pot metal or already chromed has a few imperfections, but still turned out pretty sweet. It looks even better in person.
If you live in socal, give Rob at R&R Powder coating in Riverside a call. Those guys do great work.

    Thanks,

I'm going crazy here waiting for the new parts I ordered so I can put it back together. The only things I'm having a hard time to get my hands on are a new set of handle bars and new rear shocks. My local Honda dealer says he can get new oem bars next week. I'll believe that when I see it. As far as the shocks go. I want a set they have at Beatrice, but there sold out. What to do?
Here is another pic. It looks soooo good I can hardly believe it.

I Really like that pewter chrome look! I am thinking that would be a great treatment for all of the chrome on mine, which is not all that perfect to start. What color was used on those pieces?

    Looking Good!

Post lots of pics as you build!

I think the grey color is called ultimate chome. The orange/red color I'm not sure. I just went into the shop and looked at the samples and picked what I liked. The orange actually looks like the topaz of the later model (I'm not sure what yr). The bulk of my parts should be here today. So, here we go....

Unforntunately, the guy at Honda was wrong about being able to get new handlebars. Sounded too good to be true. So, I'm back on the hunt. I guess I should try harder to bend the old ones.
    Here is the lastest pic.
    Almost halfway done.
