Thread: Big-Boned Half Sister Build?

Having a little larger chassis myself,,, I picked up a CL70 for a rider. Still figuring out what I want powering it, but I replaced the wheel bearings and seals, brake shoes, chain and sprockets, fork oil, added a fork spring spacer, relaced the rim to a un-busted XR75 hub. Riding around the block with a TB117 seems fine, but it likely needs more for the main roads.

good find,there's a few members here with Cl70s,mine is a 71 and the same color as yours,I bought it on craigslist with 2500 original miles,dry rotted tires, dead battery wouldn't start from sitting so long.Its been a project between other projects if you know what I mean,Ill try and get a picture and post for you to see.Your exhaust pipe is much different than mine is looks like.Its a cool bike to buzz the neighborhood on,by the way that was the year President Nixon said"I am not a crook" kinda puts things in perspective how old they are doesn't it,have fun
