Thread: CT70H Transmission repair

I have another question for anyone that may have a answer. Does anyone know if you can buy a complete transmission for a 1792 CT70H through Honda? I was thinking it would be cheaper to buy it complete, if I could than all the parts I need separately. I have a guy working on the motor and he said four of the eight gears (main & counter) need replaced. I was kinda discouraged to hear that news, but if I'm gonna restore this bike I want to done right. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Not sure they are still available for the 1792 model, hell, I didn't even know they made them back then. I do believe some of the gears for the 1972 model are still available, but I am sure you will pay dearly for them. I think your best bet is to find someone parting out a bike. Maybe some one like Jthomas could help you out.
