Found my dads CT70 from when he was a kid!!!

As the title says I tracked down my dads bike from when he was a kid. Still has the original motor and paint job although its pretty rough. It was stored in doors but through a friend of a friend ect and 6 years of BS I brought it home. I think if we get it cleaned up, running good, new headlight bucket, get bars straightened out, and some decals it will be a nice bike.

Left it in my dads barn by my other bikes with a note " Dont sell it again, took forever to find". Called my grandma and got the vin number on it, they matched. She also told me to look for a DN (dads initals) on the frame up under the frame and sure enough, DN inscribed in it. Not sure if he is going to want to just fix it up or give it a full resto. When he gets home tonight he will crap his britches though...

Thanks, I originally wanted to give it to him for his 50th birthday but I couldnt wait. Need to get started on getting this thing back to its former glory. Although I am not opposed to making it into an H and keeping the auto in a safe location.

COOL!!! He's going to love it! I was lucky enough to get my original KO back also, that one will never leave again! It's worth more to me than any of my other bikes even though it's not an H, or restored, just for the memories. Brings back 1975 every time I ride it!

I am on the hunt for my original SL70, my brother says he thinks it is still in a friends shed, haven't seen that one since '74!

I have a couple bikes that belonged to my dad and his brothers. A dt100 and an xr 75. When i heard he had a ct70 growing up I had to have one. Now I have a ruby red ko.......not the original bike he had unfortunately.

After some carb cleaning, fresh gas, and a plug it runs!!!!

Runs like a champ. Throttle sticks and its deff down on power but it looks to never have been changed. Handle bars are f'd and I dont know if they make good reproduction ones or not. Anyways, we are stoaked.

it would be cool to track down your first bike! last time I saw my first bike (either a '69 or '70) it was in the back of a stationwagon going to its new home. we had brush painted it corvette yellow and re-upholstered the seat with a thick gold terry cloth towel.
