Talking Future sidecar project that I am thinking about.

Here are two rough ideas that I am thinking about.

Spliting a frame and putting a shorten CT70 seat down inside it.

or just using a frame and seat and swing arm = but no way to hold on.....lol

Just an idea for now.............your thoughts or improvements ?

The angles are off - but you get the idea.

I like your idea, cuz it would really be custom and fits the CT shape well. Here is an idea I got off some other website, could easily be modified to use a CT70 wheel and fender, and duplicate the honda stripe on the body......

Yeah, this way would be easier to build a tub and then use a CT70 wheel and fender. Hmmmmmmmm.

cool pic - and here I thought I was on to something....lol

I've been thinking that a sidecar pit-bike would be really fun. Especially if you did it to a street legal CT (mine is !)

Then you could use it as a grocery getter around town! Probably fairly secure too, as it would make the bike pretty difficult to hoist into the back of a pickup!

I am guessing you would want to do a pretty serious upgrade on the motor, as the sidecar would eat up a bunch of power. It would be a really fun engineering project for next winter.

correct, just a little bit, just depends on the metal I use. Alum would be lighter - but more expensive to work with.

If you do that, then you need to get a retro mini surfboard to pack around in it! Plus maybe a battery powered sound system to play some Beach Boys tunes....

    great idea

I ordered my CT70 110cc last week and I also thought about a sidecar. Then I thought it was to out there to work. That’s cool someone else thought of the same thing. If I do it I will probably make the tub out of wood. It would be cool to have some kind of quick release. If you have any other ideas let me know.

One thing that would be neat would be to integrate an aux fuel tank. A friend of mine has a sidecar for his full size bike, and it has 4 or 5 extra gallons in there, with a pump to transfer! The sidecar would decrease mileage a bit, and that would solve any range issues.
