Thread: Green HKO Restoration Project

My current project is restoring a 1970 Candy Emerald Green HKO with my dad.(Being as I'm only 14, I'm a little young to be rebuilding a motor single-handedly Currently, she has a 3 speed on her so I can ride while we're restoring the 4 speed motor. After bench testing the 4 speed motor last night, it was found to have only 30 lbs.compression.(way below where it should be) So, off to Dratv.com to order about $150 dollars worth of parts. Once these parts arrive, we will begin the motor rebuild. For now I'm working on finding a close match to 35 year-old candy emerald green paint. Will update with pictures later tonite.
