    heres some progress photos,

I finished welding all the seams then grinded them smooth and skim coated them. I am kinda worried about the vibration in the curved intake part of the frame knocking loose the scim coat. its about 1/16th inch thick bondo, and i reinforced the neck hole with a sheat of steal. I dont know the gauge but its as thick as the frame steal.

I think im about ready to paint now, I want to re blast out all the bolt/mount holes and the inside again.

hopefully tonight i will be spraying it with some rust bullet then i will wet sand it with a block. Ill spray rust bullet again if i have to but i shouldn't have to.

then on to the not stock but should look good paint scheme

heres another view, its not puton soo thick it cover the stock seam. I cut the seam off welded it and then skim coated it and sanded it down. its still curved so it looks alot thicker then it is.

probably cause im trying to defend my build with racerx means its probably not such a good idea haha.... ive seen alot thicker look fine for ive also seen it crack out too.

I was thinking about fiberglassing it insted would that have been a better idea?

Not sure about that, I think you should continue w/t bondo.
When done w/that and since you have it down to the metal, shoot it with self etching primer. Did that on my stang and its a real tough foundation with excellent rust prevention, IMO.

I already have a gallon of rust bullet to spray it inside and out. it gose on pretty thick so i can block it again and they will garentee the paint for 10 years even when spray it over rust.... its supposed to be better then POR 15 or any of those, I got it for my chevelle and didn't use it.

Im going to pick up the paint today $$$$$
