That color scheme looks freaking awesome Jay! I love it. The paint in the pics looks as smooth as a Babies bottom too!
Nice job, I will be following this build closely. Keep up the great work!

OMG! You must feel sick right about now. Looks like the clearcoat was a little too far along in the curing process when you shot the final one. Some paint systems are prone to this and it's a race against the clock when the thermometer rises to the top. I've not run into this problem, using HOK, but have been finishing sprayouts in record time, using "slow" reducer.
Best guess is that the basecoat, and bottom layer of clear, survived intact. Going to be a lot of careful wet sanding and most likely a flow coat of clear to complete the rescue. Best of luck
sick to my stomach to say the least it was sooooo beautifull
yea i tryed a bit of clear over it after wet sanding with 600 to 1500 then 2000 for the color sanding process. i sprayed a bit of clear to see if it would come out but the granet metal flake dosnt show throught the candy..... soo im gonna sand off that bit of clear then cut it with the buffer and see what happens.
I went and talked to sherwin willams about it and they made some calls and said that same thing lol racer you're sooo smart where where you when i was spraying haha I have bud light on tap too bad you didn't live around the corner just to tell me when to spray. Anyways the guy at sherwin williams is gonna give me the supplys I need to fix it if i have to start alll over again. And the guys at my work says he can soda blast it probably just to primer and thats it.... I spent about a week blocking it out making it perfectly strait before i painted, i don't want to do that again. but after $500 of paint I was hoping for a better finished result.
