Here is a few pics of my latest build..

Here is a few pics of my latest build. The tires are now SL60s and the seat is new, The frame will be refinished and painted in about a month as well as a new hydro front end which is being built as we speak. The engine is a complete new build bored and stroked to 110cc and will do 60mph with 17/35 gearing. It has a lot of torque still and runs perfect.

gecko- let's talk about your bike.....

First off, nice bike, it looks great... I like your approach to things... I read that you're working on a hydro front end, how are you doing that? What forks, fork ears (headlight mounts), bottom and top clamps are you using? Are you gonna still run the same headlight? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm doing the same thing and I'm still kind of up in the air about what to do with my fork mounts and headlight ears....

Also, I like your oil cooler mounts.. I was gonna do the same thing...

*I asked to have his post moved to his own thread - a bike that nice does not need to be burried in the middle of another.

here is my reply to his.....................after it is moved - maybe someone can merge the threads.

    *************************************************

I just saw what I need to do with my petcock. The gas line pushes my air filter to the side a bit and the way you mounted yours the gas lines are not a factor.

Nice bike - paint looks good to me? But I like the original look.

TB stuff rocks - thats what my 88 kit is.

Did you put a TB clutch on it? or is that a knock off motor with some TB parts on it. I like the oil cooler with the braided lines = pimp.

Also like to two toned wheels.

*What peg bar are you using ?
*I aslo like how you use the left hand brake lever for the clutch - I might need to do that at some point...LOL
*How did you mount the oil cooler?
*The breather hose on the head is pimp - steel braided and all.

Much thanks on the comments. Actually that bike is just getting started and has been up and running for about a month now with about 300 miles on the new engine. Its the stock look right now but will be continuously changing until I settle on what front end to use. I want to keep the stock Headlight/Speedo combo as well as the ears no matter what. Im currently rebuilding two sets of K1 forks from 72 and 78 plus a CL70 set in addition to a full Chinese copy Hydro front end with Disc, wanted to see just how nice it was and its actually not bad. I have not finalized the lower choice yet but will be also using an original K1 lower polished and clear coated. The Engine is completely new including bearings and trans. The clutch is my own build of heavy discs with super heavy springs which works excellent. I also have a clutch built with TBs clutch plates as a spare, my brother is currently testing a super clutch with that setup and it looks very promising for what it is. The Oil cooler is just awesome and really helps. Even an 88cc can greatly benefit from a good cooler. If I stay with the old style front end it will be with a K1 type upper and lower mount but possibly a different set of tubes that are even longer. At the same time I am getting more parts for the new hydro front end with disc which I will be building up also using yet another K1 lower only slightly customized. Im also using a new copy speedo which reads mph upto 70 which is nice and modded with different lighting. This particular build is running very smooth and is almost insane to drive with a 14/35 sprocket combo and is great for huge power wheelies with just throttle roll ons. Im very happy with the accelleration and its getting even better as it breaks in further. The Carb is a Mikuni VM22 with 150 main/35 pilot right now in very hot humid weather and runs great. These bikes are tremendous fun to build and ride. Occassionally my brother and I with another friend all of which have the same build bike will enjoy a good Moto CT road cruise which is just priceless.

    Thumbs up

Very nicely done! Looks like my 1500 mile stocker, same color with Perrilli SL26 120/90-10 tires, less the cool pipe and bad*ss looking motor & oil cooler
