I found a 1980 CT70 for sale that has only 110 miles on it, it has been in storage for it's entire life.
Assumming good condition, what is a fair price for a bike like this. He is asking $950.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Offer him $800.00 and bargin up from there. If it's as good as you say, it's worth every penny. A 29 year old storage queen with only 110 miles could be worth a lot more to the right collector. Post pictures, if you buy it.
1970 CT70HK0 Candy Emerald Green (restored)
1972 CT70HK1 Candy Ruby Red (restored)
1973 CT70K2 Candy Topaz Orange (Grandfather's original)
1974 CT70K3 Candy Topaz Orange (low mileage original)
1974 CT70K3 Candy Riviera Blue (restoration-in progress)
The Tahitian 1980 are really rare . That sounds like a great deal - but check out the condition of the seat & tires , among other things to ensure the mileage is correct .
Just a couple CT70's **
Thanks for the feedback. How could I confirm the mileage?

You can't officially confirm mileage...I believe what he was saying is do a a visual of the seat, tires and the overall condition of the bike. You can take a compression reading if you want. That price is not out of line at all...You will be able to tell if it has been taken care of. Good Luck and Post some Pics when you get it home!![]()
what makes the tahitian 1980 ct70 rare? I am curios because I am in the middle of a restomod on mine but no one on the boards mentioned it being unusual or rare before I decided to do some mods instead of a restoration. just curious if I have something more than I thought!![]()
There were not many of that year manufactured...You just don't see them very often.
well hot damn...I guess I will keep my engine and do a nice honda rebuild with it...lol...the bike is in the shop now getting fit with a brand new lifan race 125cc...glad I kept the motor!
