Looking for parts for my new CT70

I want to start fixing up my 1971 CT70 and need a good place to find the correct parts. I’m not necessarily looking for NOS, but I would like the correct parts if possible. Below are a few of the things I would like to repair or replace first.

    1. Seat cover is ripped, padding is fair to good, pan is excellent
Is it best to just recover it?
Who is a good vendor for this?

    2. All cables have small cracks in the casing and are very tight but not worn.
Should I try to recondition them, or just replace?
Who is a good vendor for this?

    3. I need the following parts:
    Handle bar knob
    Horn button
    High Low switch

Who is a good vendor for these parts?

    Thanks
    Mark

I would get all of the parts but the seat cover and foam from dratv.com

Change the cables out instead of reconditioning them...They are probably very dry inside as well.

If you just need a seat cover and possibly seat foam, try gum-two (I think thats the name) on ebay...nice covers and reasonable...I just now finished my seat and this cover came from sirius...another ebay seller. It's a nice cover but the HONDA on the back was delivered in white instead of silver. When you are looking at covers...some sellers like sirius include a pad that goes between the cover and seat foam to mask any pieces that might be out of the foam.

Mark , Another good vendor is CHP (hondaminitrail.com) they have a really nice seat cover . hondanuts.com is a great place for your cables - they just got the grey ones back in stock . Like Karen said , Dratv.com is a great place as well . Have fun .

    Correct cable colors

What are the correct cable colors for a late year (8-71) CT70 KO? The cables that are currently on the bike look to be grey. Some vendors I have checked seem to have a mix of grey and black.

    I am looking for:
    Front brake Cable
    Rear brake Cable
    Throttle Cable
    Speedo Cable

Gray is the correct color for the cables...But sometimes you have to get black and paint them with vinyl paint or put gray heatshrink on.

The sheathing on the hi/lo switch should be painted to match the gray also as they are now only sold with a black sheathing.unless you find a rare NOS piece.

NEVC has the correct Gray cables, no need to paint unless you just like the fumes.
