    My Dads CT70 Build

Well now that my bike is done, my dad is anxious to get his going. He has a 140cc motor for it too. He got the bike with no original motor, but no big deal, the frame is pretty much brand new along with the seat and all the other parts. We just started yesterday messing with it.

    Motor Bolted right in

2/10ths of a mile on this bike!

Ditch those shocks, they are stiffer than boards. Take it from me I've had them for a few hundred miles and they haven't broken in one bit.

It looks amazing! Can't wait to see the finished project.

I'm sure those rear shocks were expensive but, I don't like them. I'm a stock fan. The bike is sitting really low in the back.

    Thanks

To each there own about the shocks, can we not talk about them anymore, my dad will not change them to stock, trust me. You build your bike how you want to and we will do the same.

The stock ones suck and look ugly.

I know they are cheap Chinese shocks but, of all the modifications I've done on my bike, they acheived the best result. My stockers seamed fine off-road, but during road driving they would dribble. A firm shock will help plant all that power that 140 is making to the dirt or pavement.

Are your road plating the bike?

Looks pretty good. The friend I ride with is also running a K1 in Candy Yellow with a 110cc and the exact same shock set-up. That colour sure looks good in the sun!

Thanks SS Canuck! Finally someone agrees about those shocks. I know they are "chinese" but they work pretty well on my bike.

Great bike! Any issues putting the engine guard back on with the 140? Looks a little 'tight' with the bigger motor..and my personal favorite color too...did you guys repaint the bike or is that the stock paint?

thanks Johnmacd. Nope, no issues, it has just a couple centimeters of clearance on each side, it is a tight fit but it works

That is the original paint, I love that color too!
