Nice find, looks really clean for a barn find.
I wish i was that lucky to find one in a barn...
Nice Find and will make a nice ride when you get it running.
Looks good![]()
Great Find!! You will be hooked!
Thanks guys. It has a spark, it is getting fuel but won't start. also, how do i get the round drum looking thing off so i can access the points? It has a nut in the middle. I got the nut off but cannot figure out the rest. The battery is also dead. Will that matter?
Thanks,
Zack
You do not need a battery to start/run the bike but without a battery, even a dead one you will blow all your bulbs. You need a flywheel puller to get the flywheel off to access the points. A Honda shop will have one or you can order one from one of the parts supply houses. dratv has them I believe.
If you're looking to remove the points you'll need that puller but a if you're just looking to adjust you dont need to remove the flywheel. A screwdriver is all that is needed. Also, a timing light will tune that baby if everything else is in order.
