    My restoration

Well not really. I sold my 9th Ct70 and the guy wanted me to do some work and it turned into a partial restore. here it is.
    The start:

    a week or so later

    back from paint

couple of hours after it was back

I'll try to update as we get farther.
I would have done more but the owner wants to do some of it and will be displeased that I did this much.

    New pictures

    Update:

The bike is not runnig yet. Yes, the seat needs modified to look right. Where should I clean for grounds after painting. some parts are on there just to make a pretty picture. I hope the guy pays me for the work I have done.

I love the bike stand, Where did you get it, or did you build it yourself? Bike looks great too.

    Bike stand

Yes, I did make it. I wondered if anyone would notice. I though of making some to sell but guess it would be too expensive for most. I'll try to get you better more complete pictures.

    My CT 70 stand

The top is a fill in for your engine when it is out. The middle adds height to work on or paint. The bottom is a stable stand for mounting an engine or the whole bike. The engine fill in can be used to mount all you bike stuff to for storage while you work on the engine or send it off. You can mount your kick stand to it so you don't have to lean it against a wall when the motor is out.
It's all a pretty slick set up. An example is in the above pictures. If I get some time I'll take pictures of each set up.

Very nice bit of engineering & execution with that stand, first rate. You're probably right about the cost factor. The price of the raw steel, alone, will come as a shock to most people these days. Still, quality has its own rewards and devotees...
