    Picked up another project bike

So as if my little blue bike wasn't enough of a project, I found a steal on 2 CT70's this weekend for 300.00. I took the one with the decent motor and my brother in law got the one with more body pieces. Can you guys help me identify what I have here?

    #1 - Green - CT70-2402883

    #2 - Topaz - CT70-228014 (not pictured)

    Thanks!

I'll have to say. The handlebars on those bikes are as straight as you could want!
    And two bikes for 300!
You didn't buy them you stole them!
Good Luck on your projects, and keep us posted with pics and questions.

Time for an update. Here's the latest on the Mighty Green. I tore apart the wheels and found a HUGE amount of rust, the tires wouldn't come off so I ended up cutting them off the rims. I powder coated the rims. This step in the process was particularly sentimental because I finally got off my butt and got the old parts washer running to clean the hubs. My Dad gave me that parts washer before he passed away. It needed a few parts but now it works like a champ, and it sure helped out. I'm sure I'll need it ALOT during my motor build, that's the next step.

I've always been a fan of Mighty Green. I believe it was the first of the "non-candy" colors. You don't see alot of them around. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks Hornet. I was fortunate enough to find a good deal on the fork ears, got those for 15 bucks! They looked rusty but a swipe of turtle wax chrome polish revealed it was surface rust and hardly any pitting. I also rebuilt the forks and put new boots on. So far I feel like I've started solid and hopefully the rest of the build will go the same way.

What did you use to clean up the body? Or did you repaint it.

The paint was really flat when I got it and I doubted that I'd be able to bring it back. But all it really took was some "Goof Off" to remove the sticker residue and any oil residue. Then I took Meguires Gold Class Cleaner Wax and went to town with some elbow grease. All in all it shined up really nicely, I don't think I'll have to repaint now.
