Thread: polishing fenders

I am in the process of restoring a ct70..whats best to use on the fenders..I am not going to rechrome,

Look back through Dupa's posts...He is our resident polishing expert and has taken the time to explain alot of the process in detail.

Looking at your pic , I would suggest rechrome or to purchase new . You have scratches & pitting , your not going to polish that out . I purchase new --rear $60 -- front $79 . Good luck .

I clean them up on a buffing wheel with compound. Your will look a little better but it appears to have many pits. Make sure you clean it before buffing.
