    Hi,

I had some parts blast cleaned and powder coated and collected them last week. I paid £97 (including VAT) for the following:

    2 Mudguards
    2 Hubs
    4 Wheel Rims
    1 Chain Guard
    1 Forks
    1 Swingarm

Had the mudguards, hubs and rims done in silver, and the other parts powder coated white.

Depending on where you go they will blast clean them for you. I took a bunch of rusted old parts and then got 'brand new looking' ones back!

I did not go the powder coat route but when I was concidering it, I got a quote for $125. That included the blasting and coating for the Frame, front forks, swing arm, chain guard, and shock caps.

Would like to see pics of that bike, if you have 'em. Really like powder coated items I've had done like seat pan, foot peg assemblies, hubs and wheels. Real temped to do an entire bike that way.

    in western Virginia..

I paid 150 for mine...it included the following

Blast, prep, and coat the following:

    1 Frame
    1 Swingarm
    1 set of triple trees
    2 sets rims
    2 hubs
    2 brake backing plates
    4 sets of handlebar mounts
    4 seat hinges
    4 gas tank brackets
2 sets of lower forks (for oil filled forks)

and the paint was a custom blend disco green with lots of metal flake in it.

I imagine in GA you should be similiarly priced.

To compare in the big city, just outside washington DC where I live I was quoted $450...drove 75 miles out it got $300 cheaper.

    powder coating

I just had my frame, swing arm, hubs, rims, shock covers, front forks, chain guard, foot rest, fuel tank mount cover (really anything metal) poweder coated. They blasted everything, sprayed the rims and hubs grey, the foot pegs and tank cover black and the rest a true Candy red. They started with silver and baked it then sprayed a Red and baked it again. I though I was getting a good deal at $300 but I may need to re-negotiate the next one. It did come out really nice though. Now Im looking for a good chromer here in the Northwest.

Was quoted $275 for basically everything metal in any color by a shop that's known as the "place to go" if you wanted a bike powder coated in Northwest Montana. The ol boy straight faced told me i could get it cheaper anywhere else but the quality would be nowhere near his. I used to blast for the shop so i trust him on that brag.

im sold on powder coat and all the prices above seem reasonable compared to a very good paint job from an auto body shop....i paid 20 bucks for my seat pan and 30 bucks for the foot rest assembly which i thought was fair....,i have rattle canned a lot of the other small parts to save money...if i can find a color close to topaz orange in powder coat i am powder coating my xl 70 fenders

Here is a couple I had done.

I am doing something wrong when posting these pix. They are nice and bright when I view them but when I post them here they are dull and blurry
