Thread: QA50 Build

I am in the process of redoing a qa50..still a little more to go on it.I have the tank ready to paint and color matched,mars orange..waiting on head and base gaskets to complete motor and decals for tank.still have a little buffing to do before I tighten down the last bolts...Has been a fun project...

Can you believe the seat and fenders are all original,not even a tear 1 in the seat..

Were did you get the fenders? I sure could use a couple sets of fenders.

Looks like a nice resto, without hijaking the thread, does anybody repo the tank band for the QA50K1-K3's as I am restoring a QA50K1 and my tank band is pretty average.

Actually the seat and fenders are original,I couldn't believe it..
and also I do have a band for a older qa50

That QA looks great. It's nice to see one getting a fresh start.
Some of my best memories were made on my yellow '71.

Looking really nice, top work. Is that a qa seat, looks more like a z50 seat
