    1974 st90 question

    hello im new here so bare with me.i have a st 90 (1974) model it hadnt been ridin in years so i cleaned the carb but wont idle and a little doggie,so could anyone tell me what the 2 mixing screws should be set at (how many turns) also this is weird to me but as its running and i turn on the lights the engine will die so any help to get this st 90 running would be greatly appriciated!!!

    This bike needs a good battery to run well and it sounds like your rectifier is bad - replace it with Radio Shack p/n 276-1185 and you will get better performance out of your stator. Does the tank look rusty and loaded with junk? You might have a dirty carb again - add fuel filters to both lines. Clean the petcock screen as well and consider doing the POR-15 treatment to eliminate tank rust.
