hard to say, just kind of depends on what you want to do with it. The SL70 is much more sought after than the XL even though they are pretty close to being the same bike. A good tank, side panels, exhaust, and seat are the parts you're looking for, everything else is pretty easy to come up with.

Yup. However, expect to get more than a CT70 in similar shape. These bikes being what they are ride much more like a 'big' bike than any other mini. Clean fenders will fetch you good money, also the engine is/was the most powerful 72cc Honda built so don't think of it as a complete paperweight. I wouldn't take less than $500 for the whole bike locally. Keep in mind, ultra rare bike here.

I mean it's not worthless and they are definitely cool bikes (one of my personal favorites.) But one in poor condition that will run won't bring that around here.

locked up for $500 is way too much....a good runner complete i have seen $550 (with all TS and such) on the low side and over $1k on the high side...personally i would take a 74 xl70 over any mini or sl...in my eyes the topaz orange 74 KO was the prettiest of the bunch and they are fast...

WOW, I wish I could find those 550 bikes. There is a K1 around here for 1100 on craigslist its a 75 it has a small dent on the side of the tank and thats why I wouldn't buy it, plus its got higher miles(3500). I only try to buy the dentless ones with lower mileage for my collection. I'm buying this guys k2 in near mint condition for 1450, it has 450 miles on it. Last year I bought a K0 with 900 miles, for 1900 off ebay + shipping. Point is, I'll pay whatever I think they are worth. I'm also getting a near perfect SL70k1 with 900 miles on it for 1800. Its all in the value your willing to pay. Now, this XL I would be willing to pay 250 for if I can possibly unstick the engine and get it to run, that way I can thrash it!
