    It appears that my primary magneto coil has 3 windings, 2 of kick out 3v at tick over and 1 kicks out 7v, when I rev the engine the 2 x 3v windings go upto 6v but are not powerfull enough to run the headlight but the 3rd winding goes upto 20v + and will run the headlight but causes an horrible misfire sound to come from the flywheel and the engine dies. If I dont use the 3rd winding everything is great but I dont have enough power to run the headlight unless I use the battery but then the battery dies after 15minutes or so due to not charging enough, in my opinion it seems I need a new magneto winding so does any one have any idea where I can get one?

    Where can I buy a cdi conversion kit to replace the magneto on my 6v CF70

    The bike is running great now, the problem with the electrics was a faulty magneto coil which I have replaced, I would still like to convert this to 12v cdi if anyone can tell me where to get this.

    I like it. But I like all custom bikes, anybody can restore a bike, but custom in my opinion is where you use imagination and create something unique. Nice job once again.
