    Smile newcomer with 67/68 ct90's

I salvaged a red '68 CT 90 wITH THE COOL LOOKING old front suspension, pretty complete bike.Seat/tank/new tires/exhaust/carb,unfortunately a broken clutch case and the hi/low gears and cover removed. A buddy had a '64 raided some parts ,engine was different, decided i wanted stock with the high/lo gear box. I followed a lead and found a Yellow 67?/68? parts bike $50 with a complete engine. My question is? What year did they switch to the redesigned ct90 (posi clutch/high low) And I know honda changed the bike in'69. some info woud be apriciated. happy trails Steve

    Year Change

Look up Honda Identification Guide or Honda History on the net. It has about every model Honda ever made and changes between years. Good Luck and Welcome.

    parts bikes

    Hello, and welcome
The trail 90's are nice bikes, and a better ride, for an adult than the little 70's. I am glad to see someone fixing one up.
Not wanting to push my junk off on you. If you are located around the Southeast Kansas area, I have a couple of CT 90 bikes (red with the 2 speed gear box) I would part with. One of these bikes. I had as a kid, and the other I picked up 4 or 5 years ago. I always thought I would build one out of the two, but have yet to turn a bolt. Both of these bikes could be fixed up, if someone wanted to. They have been sitting inside, but haven't ran in a while. I have heard both run, so I know the motors, and trans. are ok. They are not new or without the need for work, but when they ran last they did not make any weird noises and shifted fine.
Let me know if your interested, no big deal either way.

    ct 90 restoration

Thank you for the reply.I live in southwest colorado. I,m starting to restore the red one, I have a yellow one I pulled the motor out of for a top end rebuild, It only had 2000 miles on it but the piston was frozen in it. I,m having it honed out and hopefully will be useable other wise i have a spare i can bore to a 54mm piston Dratv.com ,good source of parts. I,m still really amazed at the engineering of these engines for their time period. I,m just taking my time putting it back together. I have a lead on more CTs but I,m interested If the price is right (ranger)Soon I,ll post some pictures Steve

    parts bikes

I would like to get $200 ea out of my bikes. I have the titles somewhere, they are signed, but I never put them in my name.
The bigest problem i can see, is we are 700 or 800 miles from each other.
