Thread: sl100 flooding

i have 1972 k2 sl100 and whenever i am in 3rd gear going up hill it likes to flood, i pull the throttle and it floods, what could this be

bad float/needle...luckily those parts are cheap...or your carb is just so dirty it is preventing float needle from seating properly..clean carb..then go from there..its also possible things like main jet gasket or other are just shot so i would do a rebuild on carb right after your done cleaning it thouroughly
