I have 5 k2's and they are all high 200,000 to high 300,000 vin numbers, it should look similar to this one(however this is an aussie model so no foot brake as we never got them on hardtails)

Hello again, Thanks for all of the help to Indentify that I have a 70/71 K2..

I have a few more questions:

    1. In trying to find correct pictures, I’ve seen many bikes with different Rear Brake setups. Some have a foot brake with a Rod just to the rear brake (which mine has), and some have a foot brake that is tied together to a Rear Hand Brake with a strange looking Brake Rod.

Which should mine have? Now that I think about it.. My guess is the Foot and Hand Brake setup. As these are Auto-trans bikes, so what else would the left hand lever be used for..

    2. Could someone attach some close-up pictures of the Key Ignition Mount with dimensions and/or with a ruler in the photo for reference?

    3. On the forks, are the lower portions reversible? What mean, can the Right Lower be installed in the Left Tube and vice versa?

The reason I ask, in the pictures that I’m finding show a Tab/Ear on the right lower that mine doesn’t have. So I’m wondering if someone used Two Left lowers on my bike?

I’ll ask more questions as they come.

    Thanks
    Steve

? #1 correct they do have a dual hand/ foot brake and #3 correct, I guess a left could be installed on the rt. You just won't be able to have a front brake.
Looks to me you've got an 80's front end and an SL/XL 70 carb. What is the Engine #?
See if your local Honda shop has a web site with a parts fish for a K2. It'll help you understand what's strange about your bike.
My days are filled so I won't be able to help out 'till later this week on the pics. Someone else'll probably chime in before then.
I believe I've got an extra rr brake part if you can't find one, there again you'll need to be a little patient with me.

aaaa yes, No front brake because of the Button that holds the Brake Hub stationary... Yes, mine does have a Front Brake and that Button.

Yep, It did have an SL70 Card and Manifold on it when I picked it up. I’ve since picked-up the correct Carb and manifold.

That would be great if you could dig one up.

And hopefully someone can post some pictures of the Key Ignition Mount so I can fabricate one.

Thanks again for all the input from everyone.. This site is great.
