True, yours is beautifully 'Restored' - Mine is just a really good looking Mutt using parts and ideas from other years that I happen to like.
    Thank You!!

Hornetgod - Is the turn signal indicator the 'Holy Grail'??

I have the mount and the wiring, just no lens.

Thank you! I find myself staring at the red one too when I wonder out in the garage.

You might be in luck......................I think I could have a spare turn lens, bracket and wire assembly. PM me if you're interested.

Here is an OEM button right out of the bag. Notice the green collar near the connector.

    Thank You Lee!!

Any idea as to a source? I've been living by the big two, and a few ebay's once and a while.

In the long run - I may want to go back to the original controls for the K3 - Turn and Horn on the Left, Kill and Dimmer on the Right.

At the moment - I like the simplicity of just the Horn on the right and Dimmer on the Left.

I did plan ahead and install a new K3 harness to support everything.

    Thanks Again

The button was in a box of parts I got with an HK0 I bought recently. I also found an OEM dimmer switch in the box.

You might be able to buy a stock horn button from online honda parts distributors like Bikebandit or Cycle Parts Nation.

I would keep it wired up with switches for a K3. Dr ATV sells both an original and aftermarket turn signal/horn combo. The wiring sleeve must be painted silver if you want to match the original look.

Not that it matters all that much but, I have come across original black horn wires with the green band also! I think they were on silver tag bikes?

Darrel may be onto something, there just aren't enough silver tag models to easily compare.

FWIW, the most common color horn lead has been gray. I'm currently working on an early black tag `69 and a mid-production HK1, both have the gray lead Both are one-owner bikes. That said, I've also seen brown, black and...drum roll please...a few that were green. The most likely explanations are service replacements (a lot can happen to a bike in 4 decades) and Honda covering another OEM supplier issue, a.k.a. the green collar, to keep production moving.

That said, looks like yet another judgment call for the owner/restorer to make. There's no argument that gray was widely used; brown is credible too, imo. Yet, what show judge, or serious purist, could really argue with the Honda factory wiring schematic? That makes light green acceptable, maybe even preferable. So there you have it, another answer that's clear...as mud
