    Vin Tag Resto

I have been trying to figure out how to restore my vin tag on my current project. I bought one of the alum. plate tags from NEVC which does not have a mfg. date or serial # so i had planned on trying a locksmith like someone else had done to get the numbers stamped.I may have come up with a better solution. The mfg. date is printed and the serial numbers are stamped.Well, i had some tags i bought awhile back from Jerry's which have the mfg. date and serial numbers printed on a decal type tag.I took a sharp rasor and cut a rectangular size hole just large enough to expose the existing serial numbers through the decal.Worked out very nicely and now i still have my original tag underneath with the stamped serial numbers and a printed mfg. date.Very clean .Also Jerry can put your date of mfg.on the tag so it matches your existing.
