I was thinking he meant this type...?? Don't know for sure, they are kinda clunky looking compared to a CT, but it looks more like one than the girls bike Champ! HA! This is a lb80-3d I think

    champ

yeah the chunky champ lb80-3d 1977 thats what im talkin about. they made 2 one looks like a moped the other looks ct70
i searched it others have asked the same question but know one responed so i thought id giver her a shot. theres not many parts and a lifan would be way easyer than jackin with the stock engine, it wouldnt start.

That isn't no CT! Looks cheap! Compare that to a good old 69 or 70 KO. There is no comparison. I wouldn't want that in my yard.

kinda cool because it is unique, but I think it would be a nightmare to own with the limited parts and knowledge. Is it 2 stroke or 4?

I know someone posted before about one of these.

The best bet is to check vintage Yamaha forums...I know people have asked about them here, but there is no interest really...They just didn't/don't compare to a CT70 and didn't sell well, so they didn't mfg many.

As far as the Lifan motor exchange, I would call MyTrailBuddy,Pitster or get ahold of dratv.

There are vintage Yamaha mini forums too...They mainly deal with the old mx mini's,but I have seen the Champs on there in the past.

Do you have one or are you thinking about buying one?
