This guy responded to my ad in craigslist. I am only after CT bikes so if anyone wants this thing, he wants $100 for it.
Shoot me an email at timothyhixson@hotmail.com and I will put you in touch with him.

Those are great bikes...I have the 62 model and I love it. Have you read the nathanthepostman story on ADV rider? He is traveling from Sydney to London on a bike like that..very interesting story and it shows just how tuff those "Postie" bikes are. $100 is a great deal on that bike if it is not locked up.

that's a c-100 or c-105, which were push-rod 50 cc numbers. They're quite heavy. I've a friend with one that doesn't work (the push rods are bent to crap).
Mine is a c105, Trail 55...I think the ones after '64 were a different size engine...I was thinking maybe a 110, but I am not positive. What year is your friends bike? The reason I ask is that my '62 is not really heavy. I was going to sell it, but since it is the same age as I am, I thought it would be pretty cool to keep. It was owned by an Amish couple and they used it since they didn't drive cars, until just this last year when they converted to the New Order Amish. This '62 only has 1,4xx miles on it and they bought it new...I really like the bike. I don't think it has been waxed in a very long time, if ever, but the dullness has really shined up on a small area on the rear fender (That is the only place that I applied wax). I think it will clean up great and the plan now is to leave the original patina. It needs the side covers and the air filter cover, but here is a pic.
I'm not sure of the year of his, but it's a Trail 55 as well, except in a flatish green colour. His wasn't in the best shape, engine-wise. He had lost the oil drain bolt when he was a teen, and, in his wisdom, decided to just liquid weld the hole closed. Not good. Anyway, I took the engine down a bit but just could not get the clutch nut off as it was set in much deeper than the CT and I couldn't get an angle on the punch to drive it loose. He has since tried to source some engine parts for the bike but really, is it worth it to rebuild a pushrod 50 to ride around on? I don't know. I was hoping another engine (the CT) would bolt in there, but it doesn't quite.
His must be a different year, though, because his carb has no real seperate manifold: it's sorta an extension of the carb itself, and I notice yours does have one.
I think the "Postie" bikes were CT110s.

I don't know the guy at all. He just responded to my craigslist wanted ad. He did not specify what year it was, but said it has 72cc on it. I just figured i would pass it along.

That bike isn't a C100 or C105, it is a C70 Passport...the newer 72cc version. Thats a steal for $100.
