Usually around 85mpg, though it varies somewhat with average sustained speeds.

That matches with what's expected when running a larger carb. My 137 is identical to yours, with the intake & carb being the only differences. As probably everyone on the planet knows by now, I tend to prefer the middle ground on carb size, for street use. With a 26mm unit fitted, I've consistently seen 74 - 78mpg. FYI...you'll very likely see more mpg from cruising along at higher speeds, where fuel atomization will be more complete and the carb will work more efficiently.

On an unrelated but more directly applicable to the original thread topic, I now have a season's worth of mpg monitoring on a stock Nice. Instead of carrying a one-gallon gas can, I've taken to topping-off the tank at the pump every 40-50 miles. After 1600 miles, the high has been 101 and the low 87mpg. The reality is somewhat counter-intuitive. In-town, stop & go, conditions have consistently returned the highest mpg, while sustained high-speed running (especially when riding two-up) has increased fuel consumption. Without an accelerator pump or secondary fuel enrichment circuit in the carb dumping massive amounts of fuel into the motor during acceleration, the only thing that matters is average power output over the miles covered per tank. Higher speeds and loads (like a passenger) require more hp and each hp requires a specific quantity of fuel.

60-90 mpg is approx. depending on how you ride, weight, tires, gearing, etc, etc.

Probably won't believe me...but last Sunday I went out on my 142cc nice and kept the speeds pretty much at 45mph. I averaged slightly over 100mpg. We did 100 miles and I left the house with a full tank. We got to the first stop which was 32 miles. I put .32 gallons in. We went another 40 miles to the next stop. .38 gallons. Then I rode it all th eway home which was 29 miles. I put .27 gallons in it. Based on riding it 45mph nice and easy...that's 100mpg.

    Couldn't believe it myself!

I used 1 gallon on a 95 mile ride last weekend. My Nice engine is a modified 127cc. Plainwell, MI to South Haven (and back).

One tankful of my Z50 (with the 4l tank which is more like 3.8l - equals a gallon) lasts for exactly 150km (94 mls). Engine is a 146cc Nice.
The green Z50 (128cc, same head, same carburator with smaller jets, sligthly milder cam, same exhaust) usually still has a shotglass of fuel left by then.
