    Rear disc brake

Does anybody have any pics of the bracket for the rear disc brake master cylinder to the CT70 frame? I would like to see some ideas before tackling this transformation. Thanks

    Jamie,
What did u end up doing with your master? I'm getting close to doing mine and was wondering if you got yours done or you were running drums on the rear..

Transfering the rotational movement of the brake arm to linear motion needed at the m/c is quite a challenge in and of itself. Too much angulation and you'll eventually get leaks. Second challenge is orientation within the tight space available. If you want the m/c in the ideal, vertical, orientation then you'll need to fab a bracket & customize the brake pedal. Most take the easier approach of installing the m/c at a 45-degree angle.

Ended up staying with drum on rear and high end disc brake setup on front. I spoke to RacerX and some others and too much fabrication after a high end paint job, didn't think it was worth it. If I had it to do over, before paint and after blasting frame, have someone fab a m/c that sits upright and then build from there.

Yea, I see where you are comming from with your paint job. I'm in primer and have original brake pedal bent and mounted along with footpegs, and exhaust pipe. I think I'm gonna use part of the original arm mechanism to work the master. Just was thinking of best way to mount master to the frame... Probably drill holes in the frame, use some bolts and spacers..

You can either do fabrications to the frame before priming and painting or just buy lower controls and the Rear Master Cylinder mounts to the bracket provided.
