Thread: 1980 ct70

Here is the info for registry. The serial number is CT70 5102061 I dont know how to tell the model number or build date...it might be on the sticker I will have to look again....it was originally tahitian red but I am in the process of painting it black.

No build dates on models with identifying year stamped on the VIN tag.

Its been a while since I have been on here but wanted to tell someone who cares that the ct-70 is getting some more work done......a new 125cc engine!!

this is the engine that the guy is putting in for me.....only one hour of run time and never even been connected to the rear wheel with a chain yet......engine is coming from someone I have known for some years and is a sure thing not an e-bay or craiglist kind of thing where ya dont know if its any good or not.....my friend is keeping this bike and putting the 1400 cc in it...

plus new controls levers a such......hes a race kind of guy so all the stuff will be high quality alloys and just generally neat stuff!!

most likely will try to salvage as much as the old wiring harness as possible as I am a cheapskate and not a stickler for such things...12 volts will be a nice thing to run the lights too !
