    Trail 70 and new member

    Hey everyone,
Just thought I would post pics of my bike. I have a 1972 CT 70 that we have had since new, its in nice shape still as it barely ever gets used. I was doing a major clean out and was looking to sell it and while searching the net I found these forums and now I have a renewed interest in the little bike. These pics aren't the greatest as the bike needs a really good cleaning. Its funny how much more dirt you notice after you take the photos!

G'day Bruce. Not many people can say that they've owned their CT from new. As hornetgod says, keep it. It appears to need very little work other than a bash around the head and neck with a cake of soap. Crank up the chrome polish and put up some more pics after a wash.

Although I don't ride my CT as much as my bigger Hondas, when I do, the needle on the fun scale gets pegged every time! I wouldn't even consider selling mine.
Riding these little bikes has become an addiction... a good one!

Hmm, have you ever noticed that you just don't see motorcycles parked outside of Psychiatrist's offices? If you do see one, probably belongs to the Doc.

The only time I'll notice a Psychiatrist's office is when I take the girlfriend there. She thinks I have too many bikes.

Thanks guys, after poking around here I decided to keep it, I have had a lot of fun with it and I guess I couldn't really replace it if I sold it as it would never be the bike I had all those years. I just figured that maybe I should have a bike that fits me a bit better since I am a grown man lol. I also spent a tonne of money getting the engine all rebuilt in around 2001 or 2002 so its probably as close to new as I can get mechanically.

Has anyone tried installing those seat covers on ebay that are the reproductions? The seat has always bothered me, it became victim to animals during storage back before the days of the net.

I have not bought a seat cover off Ebay but, have been tempted to in the past. Did you save the trim from when you installed the aftermarket cover? If not, those can be hard to find.

I probably have it somewhere, I doubt I would have thrown it out it might be at the cottage. I am thinking I should maybe fix the few little things not original as it is a pretty clean bike compared to most that I see for sale.
