    chain??

I bought a chain from DRATV.COM and after looking at it I see the links are smaller than what I have now. yet they said all the ct's use the 420 chain?? I don't even know what that is. The said I can return it which is fine but I want to have a spare. Could it be I have a heavy duty chain? I don't understand why my chain is bigger. When I say bigger I'm not talking about length. I mean if I lay them side by side after 5-7 links they no longer line up. Mine is bigger. Anybody know where / what / how to order what I need? I have a 36 tooth rear but I would not have a problem cutting it to fit. I would prefer that actually because I am experimenting with front sprocket sizes. Thanks

The 420 chain is pretty much the standard for all small dirt bikes, including the CT70, and is still used today. The 420 refers to the inside diameter of the chain links. What you probably have now is a heavier duty racing chain, which is really overkill on your CT, unless your engine is built. The DID chains sold by DrATV are really good though.

Here is a good link I found regarding chain sizes

    Hope this helps.
