    I'm Confused about this CT

Could one of you guys help me to figure out this ebay listing please? I do not know how to post the link, but it is listing number 120411389192 for a Red 71 Honda CT70 in Jungua ?CA. It is on the 1st page if you go to highest price listings. The question I have is the VIN is 255634. Is that possible? He also states it is all original with 283 miles. Is it just me or is this all wrong?? I thought the 2's did not start until 72 models and they were 7 digits, this bike has 69-71 forks and exhaust. Thanks for any help

My 71 starts with a 2, it is still a six digit serial # which applies to all 69 thru 71 CT 70's. Apparently they made enough of them to run thru the 1's.

ct93ms is pointing you in the right direction. The auction is for a CT70-K0. Looks pretty clean. If it was closer I'd be bidding on it.

    Ct70

One of the many things I love about this site is that you can learn something new every day!! So many nice and smart people. I have always believed that if the VIN started with a 2 it was at the earliest a 72. So I guess that if it starts with a 2 and is only 6 digits it is a 71...Thank You very much for answering my question. I will not be bidding on it...way too far away for me, I just happened to see it and got curious about the number.

The 1969-1971 CT70KO production numbers were through the roof. I've seen serial number near 270000. The dead give away is the 6 digit VIN on the KO models. After the 1971 they went to 7 digit VIN.
