    Insurance cost in Canada

    Hi Guys
I was wondering what you pay for a street legal ct70
    re insurance coverage?
Do you take the full insurance , or only liability.
My bike is almost street legal, so I was just wondering.
If the guy from Quebec city could reply, that would help as
the other provinces are a little bit different from Quebec.
    Many thanks
    Mike

Ontario is the worst for insurance and we generally pay between $200 and $400 a year for insurance.

Matt has the same bike as me, same riding experience and same agent and company, and pays $100/yr less than I do somehow

I would get a quote to be sure

insuring the bike for the full amount is useless, if the laws are the same in Quebec as Ontario. The bike will have a book value of ~$200, and your deductible will be more than this.

I got quotes for a bike appraised at $2000, or with any performance mods, and the insurance quotes were anywhere from $2000 - $4000 / yr

I would just put the absolute minimum insurance on it, just for legality sake, it really doesn't cover you for anything

    Thanks smerek
I am still waiting for a quote from my insurance, but I think you are right.
Get the cheapest liability, and lock her up good!!

I just got my quote of 136.00, and they would only
    give me liability.
Good price , I am happy.

Thats great news CT, and a great price

I'm pretty sure Quebec is much lower than Ontario

cars generally never go below $1200 / yr in Ontario

I know people riding goldwings and paying $2000 a year for insurance

sport bikes, forget about it, that is the only reason I didn't ride the GSXR I once had

    happy riding

Yeah, the registration for the sports bikes is way outta reach
for me . I sold my suzuki gs 1100 cause the registration was to high.
Used to insure it for 94.00 one way though. Imagine an 1100 down to a
    70cc. haha
