    Kick Starter Malfunction

How difficult is it to replace the kicker starter shaft inside the engine of a CT70?

Got a bike that could only start by pushing and want to fix that...

IF you have all the tools, patience, and good shop manual you can do it.
You have to first off remove the engine. Then you have to remove cylinderhead and split the engine cases. You will need a good hand held impact driver with the correct phillips head insert. You will need a clutch nut removal tool as well. You should also have a flywheel puller. If you have never done it before it can seem quite daunting. You will definitely need a shop manual you can refer to or forget it. You have to reset the cam timing when you get everything back together. Its not a quick job. All gaskets need to be replaced as well.
