    Which mirrors to use?

Should I use circular or rectangular mirrors on my trail? I can't decide

I went round mirrors also ,factory style, if your going to run on the street a lot go with the factory style mirrors, you need them to be fairly wide for good coverage, mine could be a couple more inches apart and I wouldn't complain , Craig.

If you want to use honda mirrors the #'s for the chrome round one's are 88110-088-950 for a right and 88120-088-950 for a left. you still have to come up with a mount for the handle bars on a KO though. Grant

Use whatever you like. Wider, to a point, equals better rearward visibility. The tradeoff is clearance; you might be surprised, initially, at just how annoying that can be. They're also a hassle when you want to fold the bars. I would suggest, however, using a universal clamp-on type of mounting with a nylon insert. Mirrors weren't OEM equipment on early models and if you ride any amount, they won't stay like new for long. At some point, whether for replacement, show, or sale, you're going to remove them. May as well go for function and easy, scarless, removal.

I got these round mirrors for my HKO off JC Whitney's website for $12.99 a piece. They are easy to install and are non-destructive to the handle bars.

Those look identical to what I have on my high-miler and about $3 less than I paid seven years ago. Not the slickest looking mirrors going, by any stretch, but good enough.

Mirrors and blinkers are the first to go on my trail bikes, and usually not intentionally. Trail riding and side projections do not go hand-in-hand.

I bought mine from the Dr. They are round and just screwed into my K3 bars. I know a KO doesn't have the screw holes on the perches tho. A buddy of mine who has a KO put a bicycle mirror on the end of the left hand grip, he says there is very little vibration and it really isn't that noticeable. I might do something similar on the HKO, not sure at this point tho.
