my bike is hard wired is there anyway i can rewire the whole bike

Alright i got to tell you i am really excited to find to group. This is my second ct 70 and i just bought it 10/15 and the guy gave it up he had hard wired the bike and just set up a kill switch. he gutted the whole wiring but he gave me all the wires they are complete. the bike is totally complete from front and rear turn signals brake light headlight horn everything but the ignition. Is there anyway i can rewire everything so i can get the horn signals light and everything else working i am on the way to restoring this this from head to toe. I just bought the repair manual it get here next week but if i cant wire it back does the ebay lifian wires work just as fine or is there another place anyone out there recommends ???????

Depending on the year, new harnesses are available. I wouldn't mess with an old one unless I had to.

All it requires is a local electrical supply store for the wiring, shrink-tube and connectors, continuity tester, an ability to solder - failing that, a willingness to learn, ability to read wiring harness diagrams (your manual should have that when it gets there), the original electrical components, and a little time and patience, and it's done. Not original, but economically done if you own a soldering iron and tester already.

I've done several, much more complicated than the CT70. It's more intimidating, than difficult.
    2 x '76 Honda CT70 MiniTrails - 1 Bling Edition, and 1 restoration project
    '81 and '82 Honda C70 Passports
    '99 Suzuki Bandit 1200 / '88 Hannigan Comet sidecar
    ..and lots of rusty parts.

Bill: I have seen some of your work. It inspires me to try things that I haven't done before. You have the ideas as to what you want done, and then go out and do it. justchilllin, I'm with Bill on this. Take your time, and go step by step. A continuity tester does wonders. Make sure anywhere that you join wires that you use some good waterproof shrink wrap. That stuff is amazing! You can do it, just go one circuit at a time, and check before you solder. Before you know it you will be done. And this is a great support group here, you can ask the question, and someone will have the answer. Send pictures if it is easier than an explanation.
