    Paint codes

I have a K0 Ct70 in gold. Wondering if anyone knew the paint code for the gold color?

No, but Id find a painted piece that isnt sun faded and take it to a paint shop and they can computer match it. With the gold it wont be cheap either but at least you dont need much

The short answer is that there aren't any paint codes available. Your best bets, besides going for a computer match, are going to colorite.com (they have the correct candy gold color) or farm-out the paintwork to someone who knows what they're doing.

Candy colors are tricky to match, application has as much effect as the actual paint.

NOS paint is a crapshoot, it can dry out or otherwise go bad even in a factory sealed can. Other things to consider are the basecoat silver, primer, clear top coat and whether there's enough in the can. Lastly, Honda used laquer "back in the day". There were two types of laquer in use circa 1970: old type laquer and acryllic. Both are brittle and easily chipped, though acryllic is better. Neither is widely available today and all elements of a paint system must be compatible unless you're after a wrinkle finish.

Frankly, I'd avoid old laquer, it's not worth the hassle.
