Thread: Paint color

CAN YOU TELL IF THE HEADLIGHT,FOOT PEGS, KICK STAND WERE PAINTED GLOSSY OR FLAT BLACK ON THE CT 70? THANKS TOM

What model are you referring too? The KO models in 69 -71 had a painted headlight bucket/speedo that was the same color as the bike. The 72 and up K1's and above had a seperate speedo and headlight bucket. The headlight bucket on 72's and up was like a satin black, and I believe the kick stand/peg assemblies were a gloss black. At least that is what I painted my pegs/kick stand with.

YES, MINE IS A 1972 CT 70K1, PAID $150.00 FOR IT WITH A BUNCH OF SPARE PARTS.. BEEN SITTING FOR 10YEARS IN A METAL SHED.. I DIPPED THE CARB IN CLEANER AND PUT A NEW GASKET SET IN IT, FIRED UP SECOND KICK.. STARTS FIRST KICK EVERY TIME NOW.. GOOD PROJECT BIKE . I'M IN NO HURRY.. JUST HAVING FUN RIDING IT...
