    Plastic Gas tank source?

When you replace a gas tank with a plastic one, is anyone, or anyplace, selling these new? Like an aftermarket tank? Or am I stuck with what ever I can find on Ebay?

You can get new steel ones at www.dratv.com and www.mytrailbuddy.com
I do not know of any vendor selling plastic ones.

Plastic tanks were only used from 1969 to early 1972. Steel tanks are all that are available from Honda now. Lots of old plastic ones are available on Ebay. Shop wisely and you can find a good one.

You'll have a harder time finding a plastic tank that cannot be brought back to like-new condition, inside & out, than an example that's buggered. That's the whole appeal of the plastic tank...plastic doesn't rust or dent easily. I've yet to come across one that couldn't be returned to good usable condition with detergent, water and some light scrubbing followed by a thorough rinse.

That is exactly why I'm looking for the plastic. Don't really want to mess with the work of restoring a steel one.
