Thread: Tail Light Q.

ok I just rec my new Tailight, i was about to put it on my bike when i noticed on my old tailight"Stock Orginial" that it had a 3rd copnnecter. now in the picture the new one comes witha Red/Black connector. the old one comes with a green and brown and a slide connecter at the bottom between the 2 wires. No on the bike it has a green connector that comes out form the bike... now if anyone can help me out on this one and how to put the new one on please let me know.. thanks once i do that and get my new light on, the bike is officially complete, and then i can start work on my project

The slide connector is likely a ground. The new light should make a ground just by being bolted to the bike. As for the two wires, one of them is for the tail light and the other is for the brake light. I would use trial and error here to figgure out which is which is which. If you hook it up and the brake light just stays on all the time, reverse the wires and you should be set, assumeing no other wireing problems.

I actually had to splice the bottom connector to the frame of the bike, behind the taillight.. its nice to see the light , light up when i press the brake.. thanks
