    50 throttle cable

Hey i just started restoring a 1970 honda 50 and i noticed that the throttle cable was frayed so i need a new one but i can't seem to figure out how to get the throttle apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Cut the grip off which will expose all the throttle parts, there is a set screw on the bottom, unscrew that, you will then be able to take the remaining parts out of the top of the handle bar. The last piece has to be unscrewed from the cable. You might be able to work the grip off instead of cutting it by getting a small screwdriver in and spraying some WD-40 but most of the time it needs to be cut off.
