    Anyone fix CT90 motors?

I had a working 1970 Ct90 motor, just didn't work good. Took it apart notice the piston and cylinder were crap looked like someone ran it out of oil.

Swapped the cylinder and piston threw it all back together, and now it wont start. I have gas, i have spark...

I'll send it to you, i'll pay you. I just want it to run

Unless "860" is somewhere in the wilderness I've gotta think that someone who knows Honda 90s can be found near by. The 90s are a different critter from the 50s and 70s, but they're not terribly complicated. Shipping would be a killer since it's too big to fit in a USPS flat rate box.

I had a CL90 years ago - it was a great little engine, once the points were set right. (That was my biggest headache with that one.)

860= Connecticut and yeah i expected shipping to not be cheap. I have no problems with my 70 motor, its just this 90 motor has got me all sorts of confused.

Got any more info you could give me on this man behind the wrench?

    70? 90? same thing

If you can fix a 70 you can fix a 90.

Instead of shipping it out for $50 and shipping it back for $50 plus the time, get the manual for 70s and 90's.

My guess is you have the timing incorrect. This is one of those motors where you can actually do a 180 degrees timing issue.

If you have spark and compression, I am almost guaranteeing it is timing.

And just because your carb has fuel, doesn't mean it is running well. A nice VM20 with 17.5/140 jetting would be just perfect.

An easy test would be to dribble-in maybe 10 drops of gas through the carb slide. If the engine fires, you have a fueling issue. If not, then timing is the only other option. Might as well try the simple stuff first.
