    Carburetor Hose Routing

1980 CT70 - Is this hose routing correct? Seems funny that the hose would contact the engine block.

    Photo attached.

That clamp is correct. It's designed to hold the overflow/drain line from the carburetor bowl. I does however, look slightly bent and/or twisted. The hose should be a bit longer and stick out the bottom of the clamp.

Incorrect. That hose is supposed to be routed up into the rider's mouth when the scoot is running.

Do you have a picture by any chance?

Take a look at the pics in the albums.
It looks like you could just pull down that overflow hose a bit and all would be OK.
I also make sure the overflow hose goes out one of the engineguard holes so that if it does overflow gas drops to the ground and away from a hot engine.

Hose looks to be mostly correct but i agree with BJ that it should go beyond one of the holes in the guard so you don't have the gas going everywhere.

Sorry this is probably a dumb question, but where do you view other member's albums?

Last time I checked - '80 models didn't have engine guards? Hose appears it just requires pulling it through the engine holder farther...

Flash is right. 1979 and newer models don't have the engine guards.

Below is a picture of how it's routed on an older model.
