CT70H kick start is not "ingaged"

I just purchased my first CT70 (last friday) it has been sitting in a barn for many, many years. It is a 1971 and the kick start is very easy to push down and it DOES NOT turn the fly wheel. It only has 753 miles if that matters. I'm not the best wrencher in the world and I have never rebuilt an engine, but i'm going to make this one happen. Someone stear me in the right direction on my new little friend!!

The first time I attempted to kick start an H I pulled in the clutch in out of habit and it spun freely. The engine will not turn over if you're disengaging the clutch.

If it's a 3 speed I would say your clutch is stuck. I got one a while back that the guy said had no compression. After kicking it over a few times I knew it wasn't turning over at all. All I did to the bike was throw it up on a center stand, put it in gear, rock the back tire back and forth, and I've been riding the thing ever since.

I'm not saying you will be this lucky but it's worth a shot?

Yep, it was the clutch lever!!!! I'm a happy boy!! This bike has been sitting in a barn for 20 years at least. You can hardley pull in the clutch lever and It was stuck. Now I just have to free the wheels (there stuck also) clean the carb, gas tank, new battery, a few prayers and hope she starts! Thanks for the responses!
